Ebola

From the deepest of places we get a
glimpse of ourselves
and our
plotting and probing, further and further
penetrating and persecuting and prosecuting
our way
deeper and deeper
we dig and we dig to figure … out …things
the figure of man is casting his shadow
into ever and ever shallower pools

Fine
say the scientists whose whore stories are read
in bold type
and are carried by accolade and ovation
this
type of acclaim and and premature elation
comes
with a cost
not written but red
into the lives of blood types
whose claim to their lives
is
jumped

Leapfrogging from species to species
they
bore
into our core
creating haunting scientific spore stories
for
present day mores
and
implore
why?
“Because it’s there”
without exploration there’s no exploitation

So
we invade with sword and bore
into
deep dark sleeping places awakening ghosts
asleep in their hosts

Our habit of invading habitats, seemingly has no end
by means of explore and exploit
there’s no justifiable ends
for
they
know no boundaries
no obstacles, no obstructions or higher instructions, no barriers

but
(silent carriers to remind us to mend the fences of the defenseless)

no
observing of the sacred, no sacrilege, we sacrifice
their sanctity
to…
to the sole of the soulless
for
the sole purpose of exploration for exploitation

They honor
the experiment not the experience
of
life
