PonyTale

Seven Sisters Writing Through the Moon

For some reason, I breathe more deeply
more calmly
in the light of today
for
we bathed in the reflective light of the moon
last
night
full

full,
no filled

Seven friends sat, on deck
circled
listening
the story was of a dream, the dream
awoke
when the teller
spoke
and pointed to the sky, the point was made
as fingertip dipped into cosmic ink
and wrote the rest by shooting star

The story over, the deck was cleared
it was time to take to field
the road to field was forested with friends
we hadn’t seen before
the dust in air came down to us
not up as driven dirt would do
came down on us
not up from tired wheels

The steps we’ve taken now opened up
to
moonlit meadow light
and
under that dome school night
the cosmic chalkboard erased our past
past understanding
then wrote to us in mysterious Mayan mazes
we read, we wondered, then
wandered
into overstanding
through tunnels from on yonder
of love
of life
liberating our souls from our shoes
so we could walk lighter on our
now
clear collective path
towards
seeing
the transparencies that speak of a separate reality

Evening into night into dawn
awakening to the knowledge that
life is magical
shooting stars are exclamation points
and
having a point is pointless
without a loving place to place it

That life is a mystery
elusive
but that there is
a road
a way
and it’s not that far away
from you

Into the light of the moon
we dance
onward through life’s maze

a…mazed
a..mazed
amazed
